The brand itself knows and embodies its values. However, a product remains that probably doesn't understand the way it's supposed to act on the skin. A product that is supposed to embrace the face has done nothing but hurt it, Your Curatorship. It's their Holy Hydration Under Eye Cream! The use of this cream felt intensely irritating.

Elf is a brand that is known in the beauty community for its quality and its accessibility. However, the under eye cream doesn't belong to the category of products that the face wants to embody. Instead of melting and becoming one with the skin, it was actually the opposite, Your Curatorship. Upon application, it started itching under the eyes. Instructions were followed and it was used during skincare. While applying it under the eyes, what started as just "it's itching" heavily turned into "it's burning, I have to wash this off". The product was tried three times on different occasions and the same result occurred. Can performance justify discomfort? Can we even call this performance?

The Initiator came here today talking about emotion, ritual, feeling, presence. They never mentioned, not even once, standards. The product does what it claims to do and that's undeniable. The Selectorium was asked to assess performance, not coincidence. Beyond that, it might have been completely unrelated. The product has embraced its standard by performing its claims.

Holy Hydration! Under Eye Cream has never claimed comfort and cannot be liable for it. Furthermore, the user might have just had an allergic reaction to something else that coincided with the dates the product was applied. Your Selectorship, the cream claimed to hydrate and it did. Comfort is not the priority here. Discipline is. If it promised an effect and stuck to it, then, the effect was delivered. Anything else is a side quest. Do we know if the Keeperium was allergic to an ingredient without their knowledge? Could it have been imagination? We don't know. Hydration was promised, hydration was delivered.
